The Titleist 4 dozen for the price of 3 has now finished so it's a good job members keep finding Mike Graves' golf balls for him otherwise he would need to be restocking very soon. Here are two more found by Paul Baldwin and ready to be returned to the owner!!
However this fantastic deal is still available with free personalisation on the new TaylorMade Tour Preferred Ball as played by Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia and Guy Shoesmith.
This 5 layer tour ball gives fantastic feel around the greens, optimum spin with irons and maximum distance with driver and is great in the wind. It's an awesome ball so give it a try.
Click here if you would like 4 dozen for the price of 3 and tell us what you would like printed on the ball.
Plus free personalisation with your name on it means you won't play the wrong ball in the rough-ask Patrick as he did this for a two shot penalty to unfortunately miss the cut at The Kent Open at Princes Golf Club on Monday ( only 33 out of 125 professionals make the cut to play rounds two and three). I shot 1 under par to make the cut and finished two over par for the 54 holes as the putting form deserted me.
Thank you to all the members who supported Cliffs' leaving do and made it such a special day for him and also to all those who sent him good luck messages and contributed to his leaving gift. He had a fabulous day and said it was one of the best days of his life after his wedding day and the birth of his two girls!!
The professionals played for the claret jug ( although David is not eligible) and fittingly Cliff won it in his final game with a 68, with me on 70 and Patrick on 72. We had nearly 70 members play in a shotgun start with a team competition of best two scores from four to count.
The winning team with an incredible 96 points was Philip Harrisson, Matt Heather, Peter Baigent and Craig Stow.
The individual prizes went to 1st Ben Fraser 43pts, 2nd Craig Stow 43 pts, 3rd Alan Arscott 40pts ( with David Osborn missing out on countback!!!). The ladies prize went to Anne Abrahamsen with 39 points
I STILL NEED ANOTHER 10 MEMBERS TEAMS OR MEMBERS WITH GUESTS FOR THE WEST HILL PRO/AM ON FRIDAY 27 JUNE. A fantastic day to play with a top South of England professional, with the greens at their fastest all year and great food and prizes. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO SUPPORT THIS DAY.
The Captain and I are still looking for challengers on the afternoon of Friday 16 May which is the day of the Men's Dinner. Click here to challenge us.
I am also looking for one more member to play with me in a friendly fourball next Thursday 8 May at 12.45pm. Click here if you would like to join us.
Well done to The Ladies' Captain who returned to her winning ways last Wednesday, winning the Waltz with Viv Field and Liz Hooper with 83 points. Second just one point behind were Janet Lea, Jenny Ross and Marjory Horsman.

Gloria's' old fairway woods had shafts which were slightly too heavy and stiff for here so the ball was going low and slightly to the right. The new TaylorMade JetSpeed have lighter softer shafts and in the fairway wood they have a higher launch option with a 17 degree 3 wood and a 21 degree 5 wood (2 degrees more loft than standard) which are perfect for people with either slightly slower swing speed or a closed club face. These helped her hit it higher, further and straighter so here she is with a big smile!!!
Johns' previous irons were only 1 year old but purchased without trying first. We carefully tried different shafts with him, measuring all the data using our new FlightScope radar ball tracking device and found that the regular graphite flew both higher and 10 to 15 yards further than his own steel shafted irons and were easier to strike.
This weekend's medal has just got even more competitive! Purchase any FootJoy glove from us on May medal day, then beat your handicap and we'll give you that same glove for FREE. That's a nice little 2-for-the-price-of-1 incentive for those of you who fancy going low. What a great time to dispose of that worn glove.
