On Friday 20 June we will be hosting a Bridgestone ball fitting afternoon. Book your FREE 15 minute appointment and let an expert technician work out what the perfect ball is for your swing speed and angle of attack, using radar ball tracking technology, so that you can achieve perfect spin rates.

We also have just received delivery of the new Tour Edge Exotics XCG7 drivers fairways and hybrids including a new smaller headed Beta driver and the new TaylorMade SLDR Silver range which includes a "mini" driver.

By the way, did you know it's only four days since Arsenal won their last trophy!
Last Friday was the Men's Dinner where we enjoyed a beautiful steak cooked by Brenden and Tracy and were also entertained by a hilarious comedian, Rod Woodward.
The dinner trophy the following morning was won by Andy Fidgeon and Gavin Cookman with a fantastic score of 42 points. In second place were Nick Cobb and John Todd with 37 points and in third Peter Yearsley and Kevin Thomas with 34 points.
Last week also saw the final of the Seniors fourball knockout. In a terrific match Keith Ellis and Howard Ashton were only 5 over par gross when they defeated Tony Wall and Dave Roberts on the 17th green.
Last Thursday I played with members Mark Randall and Nick Cobb and European Seniors Tour professional Matt Briggs. We played from the back plates and the old pros took on the amateurs playing off plus two. Cobby holed a testing three footer on the last for a halved match to save all the money - however he challenged me a pound that I couldn't knock in onto the 17th green in two from the very back tee and then didn't pay me because I was through the green in two but not on it! I think the members should decide who wins the bet - click here and say whether or not he should have paid out.
Well done to Peter Yearsley who won the weekday Stableford on Friday with 37 points. Second on 36 points was Mike Sands with Kamran Etebar third on countback.
Well done to Rosemary Wallis and Margaret Ellis who won the Presidents Cup Greensomes with 40 points. Also well done to Ruth Mackay who has just joined the Club after 3 years of putting up with me in the Ladies Academy and came second with Kathryn McKimmie with 38 points.
The weekend Stableford was won by Doreen Haddow with 35 points, with Gloria Foxhall back in winner's row with 33 points and Barbara Brooks third on countback.
