Mizuno Fitting Day - Tuesday, 7 March 2017
A couple of weeks ago I wrote a news article focussing on the brand new JPX900 Wood Range and the incredible improvements they've made in all aspects of club performance. If you would like to test the new drivers, fairways and hybrids, please click here for your FREE 45 minute appointment.
New TaylorMade M1 and M2 irons - "The Difference"
In 2017, TaylorMade introduces the M1 irons. An entirely new line that packs the distance and forgiveness of M2 irons in a more compact shape for improved control. M1 irons have been crafted to bring as much of the speed, forgiveness, and playability of the M2 irons, but deliver it to the player who prefers a slightly more refined look along with additional control and workability.
M1 irons feature both Speed Pocket Technology and Face Slots, which are designed to increase flexibility at the boundaries of the clubface to improve off-centre strikes. This combination of technologies is designed to produce longer, higher shots with improved consistency and dispersion.
We have both M1 and M2 irons in our fitting cart ready for anyone who wants to test them out with us. Click here for your FREE club testing with Ashley or Greg.

First Member to purchase the NEW M2 Irons
Alistair is the first member to purchase the new M2 irons, after looking at how he hit his old irons and the numbers he produced we got to work on all the new products.
We firstly started with the DNA system from Mizuno, this is to work out the best shafts for the player. We then looked at different heads design to give the best results.
After trying out a few different combinations the M2 iron with a graphite shaft had better spin rate and smash factor resulting in an increase in average carry distance and with a tighter shot dispersion.

Here is how one simple tip can improve the entire timing and sequence of your swing to produce more consistency, power and balance. In the first picture Rob's left knee has broken out towards the ball very early in the backswing. This prevents the upper body rotating in the backswing and causes the left shoulder to tilt downwards. By simply allowing the turn of the clubhead, arms and chest to eventually pull Rob's left knee across towards his right knee, Rob achieves a more connected coil with better balance. There are only six weeks until the clocks change and eight weeks until the Masters, so click here if you would like to talk to us about your game.
Last Friday I played with new members Grant Leonard and Pat Ansell. I tried to take on their betterball, but they were too good for me and we shook hands on the 16th.
Both are keen to organise regular golf so please introduce yourself to them next time you see them at the club and give them a warm West Hill welcome.
If you haven't played golf with me for a few years or never have, I would love to join you for a friendly fourball. If you can make any of the dates below just click here.
