Modernising Golf's Rules
Last week the R&A proposed some key changes to the Rules of Golf from 2019. Their Rules Modernisation initiative has been underway for a few years now and this is the next stage in that process. The aim is to not only make the Rules easier to understand, but also to address some of the game's current problems, such as speed of play, and ensure they fit the needs of today's game.
Please spare a couple of minutes to complete our survey, which gives you the chance to have your say on the proposed changes.
We've picked out some of the most significant Rules changes for you to digest in this survey, before giving you the chance to say whether you agree or disagree with each of them. It'll be great to know your thoughts.
Have your say here.
Terry Johnson has had a lay off from golf following a cycling fall and a broken shoulder. He is now getting back into the swing ready for the new season. He was complaining of a lack of power and a feeling that his arms and shoulders were doing all the work.
This is a very common fault I see where, in the right hand photo, he has sat back into his heels which makes the spine too vertical and reduces the ability to turn the upper body. By simply following a routine which puts Terry into the dynamic left photo position he was able to create much more power in the body coil and had a better angle of attack into the ball for better ball striking.
If you would like to know if your weight is too much in your heels at set up then pop into the shop and take the wobble pad test - it only takes 20 seconds and it could revolutionise your game! If you want to enjoy playing better golf this year click here now and talk to us about your game.
With only 2 weeks until the clocks change and 4 weeks until The Masters, it's time to start our Masters Sweepstake. Buy a player for £5 and if he finishes in the top 4 you could win 1st £200 2nd £125 3rd £75 4th £50 in pro shop vouchers.
