I have played West Hill many times over the years and in more recent times I was involved in the re construction of the practice ground with Wooldridge, this along with knowing a few West Hill members, both new and old, who all raved about the club was all the encouragement I needed to apply to become a member. I am delighted to have been accepted as a member of West Hill and I am very excited about becoming part of a proper golf club! I have already competed in some competitions and intend to embrace the competitive nature of the club fully. I look forward to getting to know the members both on the course and in the bar!" Here is also last week's intro from Ian Trevers so you can put the face to the name.
"I joined West Hill after running out of reasons as to why I'm not using my newly increased leisure time to learn to play properly. I live near the 6th tee and look forward to becoming an expert on holes 6 to 9 in particular. My approach to golf is very much shaped by my father who always told me “If you can’t play well, play quickly”. I hope that my high handicap will mean I represent good value for pairs formats, and eagerly anticipate making my competition debut." |
