Darren Warrigton improving his striking

Darren has a great top of the backswing position, but look how in the first picture his spine has tilted to the right in the downswing. This causes the swing path to be out to the right causing pushes, hooks and mistrikes.

In the second picture, Darren is doing a downswing drill where he relaxes his right shoulder allowing his right arm to extend freely down (compared to the tense, locked right arm you can see in picture one). Now, with a vertical spine, he can turn freely through impact hitting straight, well struck shots.

The boys on tour

Here are Nigel Sellars, Fergus Gilmore, Gerry Kennedy, Kevin Barkham, Mark Randall, Greg Mackay, Nick Cobb, Tom Keelan, Jonathan Holden, Kevin Parrington, Warwick Taylor, James Elliot, Kevin Young and Craig Kimber pictured on a four day tour at Lindrick Golf Club. Captain and pro challenge

Last Friday, the Captain and Pro were challenged by Craig Kimber and Mark Randall. They played fantastic golf and off a combined handicap of 17, they shot level par gross on the back nine to beat us four up and now sit at the top of the leaderboard in the Race to Hayling.
