Preparing the right way
Tim Rosenberg has had a very successful year on the course but he is already improving his game in readiness for next season. We have already done a lot of work on increasing leg stability for Tim in the backswing.
|
However, in the right-hand picture, even after keeping a more stable base in the takeaway, he still had a tendency to lift his right elbow and shoulder in the second half of the backswing causing a tilt forward and a loss of balance. In the left picture, we simply improved the grip pressure points in his hands which encouraged the wrists to hinge more freely in the backswing. Because the club was then being naturally thrown over his left shoulder as he turned his chest this eliminated the instinct to lift from the right elbow. As you can see, the left picture now shows a powerful coiled backswing.

Fit for purpose
Jane Kimber had a Swing Studio session with Greg to compare new drivers against her own using our FlightScope Launch Monitor. They soon found more distance and consistency by improving her smash factor and ball speed with the Callaway Epic Flash with The A flex (Senior) shaft.
Armed with the new club and a good swing tip from Greg, Jane then stormed to a four-point victory in the Ladies’ Stableford with 38 points.Click here if you would like to talk to us about testing your equipment against the latest equipment either in the Swing Studio or on the course.

#468FCD ;text-align:left">Stats that'll make you thinkYou don’t get to a single-figure handicap without having a strong iron game, but the journey shouldn't end there. For us, there are two key factors that, when combined properly, will help take your iron play to the next level. |
1) Get custom-fitted If you're serious about shooting in the 70s each and every round, then getting custom-fitted for your next set of irons is key. TaylorMade’s P790 model feel fantastic off the face and provide precise distances and control, but that's no good if you're using the wrong shafts or you need 2-degrees flat but yours are standard.
2) Know your yardages The second stat above is remarkable and if you're one of the 21%, you need to come and see us for a gapping session. There we can give you the distances you hit each of your clubs as well as spot any issues you have between clubs.
