Your feedback helps
Thank you to all of you who completed our club survey a few weeks ago. I have spent a lot of time over the last few weeks buying next year's stock and your answers have really helped me to stock the shop with the things that you would like to see. We will also be contacting some of you who have mentioned that you are struggling with specific areas of your game to see if there is any advice or help we can give you to resolve this.

Try before you buy
This week, several members took advantage of our FREE Galvin Green Interface Trial. We have Medium, Large and Extra-Large tops for you to demo on the course and find out why Galvin Green claim that this top is suitable for 95/100 games you play in the UK - it's windproof, showerproof, breathable, warm, very lightweight and stretchy.
Come and take a look or click here to reserve a demo for your next game.

Setting your goals
Last week, new member Nick Totten who plays off a three handicap came for a Performance Analysis with me. After watching him hit balls through the bag in every aspect of his game as well as discussing mental strength, pre-shot routine, past coaching influences, practice habits, fitness & flexibility and short and long term goals, we have now drawn up a plan of action for the winter. |
This week, we focused on his full swing. He had mentioned that he felt he needed to sway in the backswing to achieve weight transfer as when he tried to stay central, he ended up reverse pivoting. The left picture above shows the club shaft crosslined at the top of the backswing and a gap between the legs. In the right picture, he has kept a central point but learnt how to coil correctly to eliminate the reverse pivot. The result, a much higher percentage of straight shots! Captain/Pro Challenge
On Sunday, we played our third Captain/Pro Challenge against the two immediate Past Captains, Greg Mackay and Mark Turner. Playing foursomes only 4 holes were halved in a topsy turvy game. I am pleased to report that The Captain and Pro came to the last hole one up and made a solid par for a 2UP win and their first victory. This Friday, we play David Alvis and Alistair Wooster. |

We also have only one last date before Christmas for challengers: - Sunday 22 December - 8.56am
Get in touch if you would like to take up the challenge. |

Members on Tour
Six members returned last weekend from a 10 Day Tour to Thailand. Mark Randall is still struggling to talk about it as Nick Madgett holed the final putt on the final day to win and send him to the bridesmaids’ position once again. Nick Cobb is still threatening to have the coaching session with me that he said he was going to book three years ago! They are pictured below at Alpine which apparently was amazing. Click here to send me your golfing pictures of West Hill Tourists around the world. |

On the Course
In a very tight Stableford last Wednesday, Ilsa Bellion pipped Cilla Shaw on countback with both players finishing on 36 points. Tina Thomas claimed third, just one point adrift. Then, on Sunday, Ellen Yates scored 38 points playing off a three handicap to win by four shots from Liz Hooper and by seven shots from Ruth Standring.
