Following our announcement at the Greens information evening, the practice ground is now open for members to hit their own balls until we are able to open the range fully and retrieve balls. Balls are not currently to be retrieved and no one should step forward from the bays.

West Hill member, Jeremy Evans, was the first to use the new practice facility with his sons and thinks the new facility is a fantastic addition to the club. Look out for young Matt who is developing his swing at Greg's junior clinics on a Saturday.

Congratulations to David Jones who won Division 2 of the club stableford on Sunday by three clear points and yes, you guessed it, he has been on the Game Improvement Programme with me for the last three months.

Second was Julian Hodnett with 32 pts and third John Todd with 31 pts who was playing with his new fairway wood and hybrid fitted by Greg in the Swing Studio at the end of last week!

In Division 1 Brendan Dunne won with 35 pts, with Peter Robinson second with 34 pts and Nick Taylor third on countback.

Peter Oakes and Jimmy Sweetzer entered an overseas pro/am at Valderamma and La Reserva with David Osborn and Queenwood caddiemaster Steve Dunn and won the team event with level par for three rounds. Well done chaps- Who wants to join me in challenging them for the first prize next year?
